The California Legislature passed bills during the 2024-25 legislative session that will affect many aspects of California charter school operations. Including the areas of employment, health and safety, immigration, cyberbullying, credentialing, special education, the Brown Act, the Charter School Revolving Loan Fund, and curriculum, among other topics. We will also cover recently decided and pending court cases that will likely impact charter school operations. Finally, we will discuss the expected impacts of the veto of SB 414.

What you will learn: Attendees will gain practical insights into the impacts of the new legislation and helpful strategies to comply with these new laws. Our content goes beyond what you may see from other sources that only focus on changes to the Education Code. For example, we will cover employment law changes not typically included in other presentations. We will also review court cases that school leaders should consider in managing risk and planning for the future.
