About YM&C

Serving public, private, and independent schools and institutes of higher education since 1993.

Leading From the Forefront of the School Choice Movement

Young, Minney & Corr, LLP (YM&C) is the recognized leader in all areas of school law. We are passionate about the mission of school choice and its ability to uplift lives. Many of the schools we work with operate in low-income areas, and we have seen the dramatic difference that quality school choice can make in the lives of the children in these communities. YM&C has been instrumental in protecting the interests of our school clients through battles in the legislature, courtrooms, and before administrative agencies.

Our Philosophy

Here are four of the key pillars of our approach to serving our clients:

3

words from our clients
“We have been working with YM&C for over ten years and have found them to be an invaluable resource to our organization. Their charter law expertise is second to none, and they have been a true partner in our work with our labor unions and in helping us better understand labor law. We have worked with multiple attorneys in the firm, and all of them have been very knowledgeable and responsive to our needs. I would recommend YM&C to any education organization needing legal assistance and support.“

“I have had the opportunity to use many law firms for many cases, and all of them have been very good. However, regarding YM&C, it is not just good work but exceptional work. I have worked with Paul Minney, Sarah Kollman, Jim Young, and Bill Trinkle. All have handled many of my charter school’s needs. Of particular note is a case we prosecuted for failure to provide reasonable space under Prop. 39. Sarah provided exceptional research and is the most organized person I know. She can rapidly cite the minutest details from memory. Paul is an exceptional litigator who is meticulously prepared, and his calm, thorough demeanor in court usually unsettles the opposition. Bill provides tremendous strength in his knowledge and guidance in litigation. The staff is always supportive and gets you in touch with counsel as soon as possible. And ALL have the most profound passion for Charter Schools. Whether this is the first time you have used legal counsel or the 100th time, there is no finer firm. Period.“
