Kristen Rodriguez

Kristen Rodriguez has diverse experience in civil litigation and has an established reputation for working in different capacities as both a plaintiff’s and defense attorney. Before joining YM&C, Rodriguez worked at a prominent Southern California defense firm, focusing on litigation and representing multiple insurance companies and public entities. During her more than ten years as a litigator, Rodriguez has drafted and successfully argued numerous dispositive motions and argued before state and federal courts.

In March 2017, Kristen obtained a jury verdict in the Central District of California for a national salon chain in a breach of contract and trademark infringement matter. Rodriguez has also argued in front of the California Court of Appeal for the First District, where she successfully expanded protections afforded to California car dealerships.

Rodriguez attended the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She attended the University of Southern California Gould School of Law after her undergraduate studies. While in law school, Rodriguez externed at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Central District of California, and the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Following law school, Rodriguez was one of twenty selected applicants to participate in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office Trial Advocacy Training Program, where she completed a month-long trial advocacy program.
