On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education released its Final Title IX Regulations, effective August 1, 2024. These updated regulations bring significant changes that require schools and districts to revise their Title IX policies and procedures.
New Training Requirements
Under the revised regulations, the following personnel must undergo training on specific Title IX topics:
- All employees
- Title IX Coordinators, Investigators, and Decision-makers
- Those involved in informal resolution processes
- Those with the authority to modify or terminate supportive measures
This training is mandatory upon hiring or changing positions and must be repeated annually.
