Overview
Alexis Russell is a law clerk awaiting bar results in YM&C’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s litigation team. She assists in complex legal research, drafting legal documents, and developing case strategies.
Before joining YM&C, Alexis attended UCLA School of Law where she advanced her passion for disability advocacy as the Chief Note Editor of the Disability Law Journal, the nation’s first journal dedicated to disability law. In this role, she managed the selection and oversight of student notes, helping to expand the discourse surrounding disability law. In addition to her contributions to the Disability Law Journal, Alexis has demonstrated her commitment to disability advocacy through various roles. She previously volunteered with the Office of Disability Services at the University of Miami, learned American Sign Language, and worked with a cheer team for athletes with disabilities. Alexis remains committed to furthering her advocacy for people with disabilities as she advances in her legal career.
Alexis received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Miami.
Outside of YM&C, Alexis is an avid Miami Hurricanes sports fan and enjoys Pilates, reading, and going to the beach.
