This webinar will review conflict of interest laws applicable to charter schools and discuss how to comply with these laws. In addition, we will review some issues that commonly arise in charter schools, including hiring of relatives or contracting with organizations in which members of your board or staff have a financial interest. We will also review concerns raised by granting agencies, FCMAT, and the Fair Political Practices Commission that have led to revocation and non-renewal of charter schools or fines and criminal prosecution of charter school leaders.
