The California Legislature passed dozens of bills through the close of the 2023-24 legislative session affecting many aspects of California charter school operations as of January 1, 2025, including employment, health and safety, curriculum, and technology, among other topics, in addition to the changes in law made over the summer through the education budget trailer bill.
