Overview
Brittnee Gillespie Malone has practiced disability rights and education law since graduating from Loyola Law School in 2015. While in law school, Brittnee advocated for students with disabilities in multiple special education clinics, inspiring her to pursue a career supporting students with disabilities. She has extensive experience in public interest law, including special education law, public benefit programs, and disability discrimination matters.
Before joining YM&C, Brittnee was a Supervising Attorney with Disability Rights California. In that role, she supervised attorneys and advocates throughout California as they represented individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As Senior Counsel with YM&C, Brittnee represents clients in school meetings, administrative hearings, and complaint proceedings. She also assists clients with matters related to day-to-day school operations, including revising school policies and advising on strategies to resolve informal conflicts among school community members.
Brittnee enjoys spending her free time with her family and playing soccer. She is also an active Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ® member who spends much time planning and implementing community service projects in the Elk Grove and greater Sacramento area.
