Overview

Wendy Walker represents charter schools, private schools, colleges, and other non-profit organizations in all manners of disputes. Wendy has particular knowledge and experience in the defense of labor and employment matters, including defending wage and hour class and PAGA actions. Wendy utilizes her background in insurance defense and civil litigation to represent clients in all stages of court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. Wendy has also worked as in-house and outside general counsel to companies and non-profits, helping advise and counsel them in avoiding litigation. Wendy is admitted to practice in California, Arizona, and New York.

Prior to joining Young, Minney & Corr, LLP, Wendy was a litigation associate in the New York office of an international law firm, Assistant General Counsel of New York Life Insurance Company, and Funding Director and Legal Counsel at Law Finance Group. Wendy has represented public agencies, foreign and domestic banks, insurers, and other financial service providers in suits brought by individuals, class actions, and government bodies. She has deep experience with leading internal investigations, large-scale discovery disputes, and motion practice in bet-the-company litigation. She is a published author and speaker, having written numerous articles on ethics issues related to third-party litigation finance.
